Help S.E.E. CT Stop Racism in Connecticut Public Schools
It takes a village to raise a child. It takes an entire community to do this work. We invite you to use these resources to reflect, learn, read and listen. Solidarity Equity Education CT looks forward to having more fruitful conversations together as we all continue to DO THE WORK!
Teaching Hard History brings us the lessons we should have learned in school through the voices of leading scholars and educators.
Teaching While White - where whiteness intersects with antiracist teaching and learning
Seeing White is an excellent 14-part podcast series by SCENE ON RADIO exploring racism and whiteness in America.
Current exhibits:
"I is For Indian: Native American Identity Stolen, Sold, & Reclaimed" presents visual and ideological representations of Native American peoples throughout the past century and explores the effects of such stereotypes. Images, artifacts, and harmful tropes on display demonstrate just how pervasive they have been in American popular culture. "I is for Indian: Native American Identity Stolen, Sold, & Reclaimed" allows visitors to reflect on this difficult history and ultimately proposes an alternative narrative of Native American self-expression and identity.
Multiple copies of "The Best We Could Do" are available at the Canton Public Library.
